My Maiden Voyage in Blogging

Greetings and salutations! So, this is my first attempt at a blog so yea...be nice! Anyway, first I would like to talk a little about what I want this blog to be. This is my tribute to food, crafts, and tips that you find online, through Pinterest, family, or anywhere. There will also of course be my very own updates or various kinds with news and info. I'd be happy to take any suggestions as to things to try and the like. With all that said, Allons-y!

Tonights recipe was found on Pinterest (linked here) while I was obsessively searching for cosplay inspiration. It looks way to easy not to try and I had all the needed ingredient so I figured, why not?I wasn't extremely prepared today because this was a spur of the moment idea so I didn't take any pictures but my notes are below!

The recipe called for vegetable broth and I decided on chicken mostly because it was available. I also used whole wheat pasta instead of linguine. This is the ultimate dump and go recipe and you can customize it with anything. I even added the leftover squash and zucchini from dinner the night before. I personally think it would have been amazing with some capers, artichoke hearts, and grilled chicken added. Maybe next time! My only concern was that I had to boil it a long time to get the liquids good and reduced so the pasta was pretty far from al dente. If this bothers you I would suggest using less liquid so that there isn't as much to reduce.

During first taste I wasn't real convinced but by the time I sat down with my bowl I was VERY happy and Koopa Troopa even ate an entire plate and that is saying something for a 2 year old! All things considered this is definitely a keeper! I guess that's it for tonight! I hope you try this recipe and like it. If you do please let me know in the comments!
